International, as well as, national mergers from media companies are increasing and are being noted as powerful, global players in the media. Through this development, the companies from the free state of Thuringia have been founded in order to set up a national-wide media network.

The Media Cluster Thuringia will show the capabilities of the member companies and institutions and additionaly will integrate regional, national, and international projects.

Media Cluster is not seen as the boss, rather as a middle-man who offers ideas, concepts, and achievements. Furthermore, the Media Cluster should be a forum for new trends and the media sector.
